At Under 1 Roof Nursery Woolwich Greenwich Charlton Eltham Plumstead, East London, Royal Arsenal SE18 South East London we aim to provide children with excellent care and learning in an environment that is welcoming, clean, safe and secure and in which staff members are committed, motivated and well-trained. Children also enjoy many extra facilities, including a performing arts centre, a soft play centre facility.
At our nurseries, we aim to provide an environment that children are excited to be in, allowing them to build new skills in all areas of development and give them the tools to achieve their potential. All the needs of the children and their families are of paramount importance to us and being an inclusive nursery, we are committed to providing high-quality care and EYFS learning opportunities within a safe and stimulating environment.
We are an Ofsted registered paying provision for children from ages 0-5 years and we also provide free funded hours (15 and 30 hours) for eligible 2-year-olds and 3 to 4-year-olds. We also offer a 10% sibling discount too!
All our nurseries are Ofsted-registered early years’ providers and must follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which supports an integrated approach to early learning and care. It gives all professionals a set of common principles and commitments to deliver quality early education and childcare experiences to all children in our care.
We thrive by helping children achieve their full potential and by meeting the needs of all families. We are proactively involved in safeguarding children and we work to develop honest, positive relationships with parents and the wider community, which promotes children’s development now and ensures better for them in their future.
As our name suggests, we have everything ‘Under 1 roof’ here, and our nursery children benefit from having access to our top quality facilities in the centre, including the Sensory room, our themed Soft Play room, London play village, theatre space with dressing up, music room and extensive garden space including forest garden. Nursery children are also taken to events and shows in the main atrium space.
We firmly believe it takes a village to raise a child and we celebrate that where ever possible. Our vision of a one stop multi purpose centre allows families access to their community in a safe and supportive environment. Whatever you need – childcare, a haircut, a coffee or simply a friendly ear – we hope you will find it here.
We are the first private nursery to work with the International early year’s curriculum. We use this alongside the EYFS in our Preschool room. This complements our rich and diverse community and takes our children through a truly global experience. The curriculum is an immersive experience for the children, working on a topic over a term children are able to work in greater depth on all areas of their learning through the most effective teaching practise – PLAY. Languages and cultures from around the world and central to our day to day under pinning our overall ethos to launch global citizens into the world.
Our nursery is part of a large and multi purpose children’s centre. Our children and staff are able to use the spaces around the centre on a daily basis – having access to the theatre, music room, sports gyms and sensory room. With so much variety we are able to cater to all needs and preferences and truly follow their lead.
We are open 7am – 7pm. Drop off before 7.30am is by prior arrangement on a weekly basis.
