MR. CHEF’ EVENT HELPS EDUCATE FAMILIES ABOUT HEALTHY EATING
Event launches in response to research that revealed an estimated 80,000 kids aged 5-12 think that a Jaffa Cake has more Vitamin C than an orange.
Mr. Men, Little Miss and Haliborange have teamed up to create a series of interactive events to teach kids of all backgrounds about healthy eating and nutrition through games and fun cookery classes with Mr Strong. The event is in response to research that shows over half of parents in the UK struggle to engage their children in the importance of eating healthily. Research also revealed that:
The Mr. Chef event will be a fun, interactive day for kids and parents where they can take part in free cookery classes, learning essential kitchen skills whilst creating a healthy dish from scratch to take home and enjoy. For those not partaking in a cookery class, the event will also be jam packed with games and activities focusing on food and nutrition, with star appearances from Mr. Strong. Children will also be given recipes to try at home and parents will be able to take part in a Q&A with a nutritionist where they can ask questions about their children’s nutrition. The event will also dedicate a select number of cookery classes exclusively for nurseries and community groups in the local area.
