Team

We have built a passionate team of qualified professionals. As a team we have a range of experience and energy and many talents to share with the children. We are also very happy to have apprentice staff who are working towards qualifications whilst they are with us. This creates an environment of learning and development for everyone to benefit from.

Our staff have 6 in house staff training days a year and are regularly sent to trainings outside of the nursery to keep everyone up to date and inspired with new ideas!

Rooms

Our nursery has 5 rooms across the ages. Each room has free flow access to the garden and our youngest guests in the baby room have their own garden directly off their room. Our rooms are:

Blue room#2 babies: for  6 months – 1 year old

Orange room Toddlers: for 1 – 2 years old

Garden

We are very lucky for a London nursery to have a large out door space. It is divided into the following areas:

Adventure garden – physical space for sports, climbing frames, large planters for growing and large music wall.

Imagination Garden – Theatre stage, puppet theatre and story shed with books and benches.

Sensory garden – sand, water wall, music wall and mirrors – this is the dedicated baby garden.

Forest Garden –full forest garden. We have fully trained and accredited Forest garden leaders on our staff who take the children into the space weekly.

Food

We are lucky to have the Menagerie Café onsite here at Under 1 roof and all our nursery food comes freshly cooked from their kitchen daily. We work on a 4 week menu so there is lots of variety to suit all tastes. We are happy to accommodate preferences and allergies all of which can be discussed at settling in.

Fees & Funding

We charge £60 for a full day and £35 for half a day. Our hours are 7am – 7pm and the 7 – 7.30am slot is to be booked the week before as an early bird. This just helps us with staffing. Invoices are sent out around the 23rd of each month in advance and we request all payments are made by the 1st of the month. We do not charge for bank holidays. We also offer adhoc bookings. If you need extra days please always ask. These are charged at the same rate and payable at the time of booking.

We currently take children on the following funding:

  • 15 hours a week for 3 – 5 years old – we spread this over 51 weeks of the year / 10 hours a week
  • 30 hours a week for 3 – 5 year olds (to find out if you are eligible for this please check www.gov.uk)
  • Together for Twos – 10 hours funding for 2 -3 years ours. This is means tested.

Extra curricular

We are passionate about opportunity and our nursery children have a busy extra-curricular programme including yoga, music, drama, martial arts, dance and languages. This is all included in our daily rate so all children have the same experiences. Our extra-curricular time table is currently:

Mondays – Yoga

Tuesdays – Multi sports and Martial Arts (Pyramid)

Wednesdays – Drama (Theatre tots)

Thursdays – Dance (diddi dance) and Music (Boppin Bunnies)

We are adding to this regularly. We also work closely with Greenwich borough for support with planning and additional services and training.
