Under 1 Roof Nursery is an 84 place nursery for children aged 3 months – 5 years. As our name suggests, we have everything ‘Under 1 roof’ here and our nursery children benefit from having access to our top quality facilities in the centre including the sensory room, our themed softplay room, London play village, theatre space with dressing up, music room and extensive garden space including forest garden. Nursery children are also taken to events and shows in the main space.

We are open 7am – 7pm. Drop off before 7.30am is by prior arrangement on a weekly basis.

We have built a passionate team of qualified professionals. As a team we have a range of experience and energy and many talents to share with the children. We are also very happy to have apprentice staff who are working towards qualifications whilst they are with us. This creates an environment of learning and development for everyone to benefit from.

Our staff have 6 in house staff training days a year and are regularly sent of trainings outside of the nursery to keep everyone up to date and inspired with new ideas!

Our nursery has 4 rooms across the ages. Each room has free flow access to the garden and our youngest guests in the baby room have their own garden directly off their room. Our rooms are:

Blue room – Babies A ( 1 years )

Orange room – Baby room B ( 1 – 2 years)

Green room – Toddlers ( 2 – 3 years )

Purple room – preschool ( 3 – 5 years )

We offer full and part time places in all rooms.

We are very lucky for a London nursery to have a large out door space. It is divided into the following areas:

Adventure garden – physical space for sports, climbing frames, large planters for growing and large music wall.

Imagination Garden – Theatre stage, puppet theatre and story shed with books and benches.

Sensory garden – sand, water wall, music wall and mirrors – this is the dedicated baby garden.

Forest Garden –full forest garden. We have fully trained and accredited Forest garden leaders on our staff who take the children into the space weekly.

We are lucky to have the Menagerie Café onsite here at Under 1 roof and all our nursery food comes freshly cooked from their kitchen daily. We work on a 4 week menu so there is lots of variety to suit all tastes. We are happy to accommodate preferences and allergies all of which can be discussed at settling in.

We currently take children on funded places from 3 years. We spread this over 51 weeks of the year at 10 hours a week.

We are delighted to offer Together for Twos funding. Please contact us to discuss. THE NURSERY

We are passionate about opportunity and our nursery children have a busy extra-curricular programme including yoga, music, drama, martial arts, dance and languages. This is all included in our daily rate so all children have the same experiences. Our extra-curricular time table is currently:

Mondays – Yoga and Music (Boppin Bunnies)

Tuesdays – Multi sports and Martial Arts (Pyramid)

Wednesdays – Drama (Theatre tots)

Thursdays – Dance (diddi dance)

We are adding to this regularly. We also work closely with Greenwich borough for support with planning and additional services and training.

Running alongside our nursery is our Activity Creche. Our Ofsted registered crèche offers adhoc childcare to parents who don’t need set hours but do need a regular go to place they know and trust. Our crèche manager and team work closely with our nursery and benefit from the same access to facilities and specialists.

Creche children have a settling in session prior to be left with us so parents and carers have the opportunity to ask questions.

To enquire about the crèche please email

Our crèche is open 9.30am – 11.30am Monday to Friday. In time we hope to offer afternoon sessions and longer hours.

A typical crèche session is:

9.30am – drop off and free play

10am – 10.45am – Activity – examples – dance, drama, art, multi sports, sensory room, languages. Each term will be themed and activities will all tie in.

10.45am – 11am – Snack (provided by parents / carers)

11 – 11.30am – Arts and crafts and story session. Each child will have their own crèche diary where we record what they have done on each visit with us.
