Under 1 Roof Nursery is a 120 places nursery for children aged 3 months – 5 years. As our name suggests, we have everything ‘Under 1 roof’ here, and our nursery children benefit from having access to our top quality facilities in the centre, including the Sensory room, our themed Soft Play room, London play village, theatre space with dressing up, music room and extensive garden space including forest garden. Nursery children are also taken to events and shows in the main atrium space.

We are the first private nursery to work with the International early year’s curriculum. We use this alongside the EYFS in our Preschool room. This complements our rich and diverse community and takes our children through a truly global experience. The curriculum is an immersive experience for the children, working on a topic over a term children are able to work in greater depth on all areas of their learning through the most effective teaching practise – PLAY. Languages and cultures from around the world and central to our day to day under pinning our overall ethos to launch global citizens into the world.

Our nursery is part of a large and multi purpose children’s centre. Our children and staff are able to use the spaces around the centre on a daily basis – having access to the theatre, music room, sports gyms and sensory room. With so much variety we are able to cater to all needs and preferences and truly follow their lead.

We are open 7am – 7pm. Drop off before 7.30am is by prior arrangement on a weekly basis.

Extra curricular

We are passionate about opportunity, and our nursery children have a busy extra-curricular programme including yoga, music, drama, martial arts, dance and languages. This is all included in our daily rate so all children have the same experiences. Our extra-curricular time table is currently:

Mondays – Music (Boppin Bunnies)

Tuesdays – Martial Arts (Pyramid)

Wednesdays – Drama (Theatre tots)

Thursdays – Dance (diddi dance)

Fridays – Lingotots (languages)

Most of our classes operate on a rota basis to give equal access to our children.

We are adding to this regularly. We also work closely with Greenwich borough for support with planning and additional services, and training.

Our library:

We are very proud of our Shed Library which is run by our preschool team. Fully heated we go out to it in all weathers for stories from our book range. If you have any books you are looking to donate we would love to take care of them!

We were delighted to be rated GOOD in all areas in our first inspection in September 2017. A few comments from our feedback are below.

“Managers monitor all children’s progress well. They ensure that children benefit from a wide range of learning experiences to support their learning and development. For example, managers provide a soft-play area and a gym for children to build on their physical skills.”

“Staff make regular observations and assessments and plan well for children’s next steps of learning. They praise children for their contributions to group discussions and value all their unique ideas.”

“Children behave well and form good relationships with one another. Younger children are active and imaginative learners.”

“Babies explore their surroundings with confidence, pressing toys and finding out how things work.
“Children acquire good skills for their next stage of learning, including starting school.”
